Pixels and Grain is the website for the photographs of Steve Hammond. 

Based in the UK he has been taking photographs since the 1970s and, although working as a graphic designer, he has always maintained an active interest in creating personal photographic work alongside commercial projects. 

In 2021 one his archive images was featured as part of the 'Champion Sound: Carnival People' exhibit at the Royal Festival Hall in London's Southbank Centre. In 2022 Café Royal Books published a collection of his vintage photographs of east London street markets in the publication Spitalfields 1977.
